Noticing, recognizing, and understanding emotional states can make navigating daily life easier. Emotional awareness – being conscious of your feelings and the emotions of people around you -improves the quality of your relationships.
By working with the body, we develop a stronger awareness of the body’s impulses and our conscious intention and we build a bridge between the hyper-fast strategies of the unconscious and the conscious skills in life.

Core Beliefs & Core Decisions

Our internal unconscious statements we tell ourselves
Core beliefs and core decisions are internal representations developed through early life experiences and shock traumas. They are unconscious beliefs formed by protective responses to overwhelming or traumatic experiences – especially with caregivers and those close to us. They serve as filters that shape our understanding of ourselves, others, and the world around us.

Core beliefs determine how we navigate in life and relate in general.
Being aware of them and their impact on our lives is fundamental for our emotional health and personal growth.

  • Core beliefs manifest both as muscular tensions (somatic armouring) and in psychological beliefs (cognitive patterns).
  • Different muscle groups store memories of early developmental conflicts and shock trauma.
  • Core decisions are often rigid, limiting a person’s potential.
  • Since trauma is stored in specific muscles, connecting to these muscles, as well as identifying core beliefs, can help change them.

Emotions – cause and effect

  • The difference between emotions, feelings, and moods – the triune brain.
  • Emotional responses and the brain (e.g., the amygdala, prefrontal cortex).
  • The physiological effects of emotions (heart rate, breathing, etc.). How emotions can affect our physical health and well-being.
